Boutique Heart from The Hummingbird Card Company was a design that was mentioned when this site was a blog rather than a gallery of designs as it is now. It is still a favourite of mine so was one of the first to feature in the gallery. The laser cut detail picks up some of the design elements of The Hummingbird Card Company’s logo which is a pretty creation in itself. Interestingly, I read a post on the company’s blog recently that showed a custom designed Save the Date card that was more closely based on the logo design, so it’s shared appeal clearly struck a chord with one of their customers.
This heart design is from the Boutique Collection and you may stumble upon this invite in a number of the wedding invitation categories on this site because it has many of the features that we have used to split the designs into different themes. First and foremost it an intricate laser cut card which features a heart as its design but it also has an organza ribbon bow and look a little closer and you will see a sparkling diamante at the top of the heart. The ribbon colours and insert, which show through the laser cut pattern, can be changed and with plenty of choice for both it is easy to choose coordinating colours or pick two contrasting colours if you have a two tone theme.
